Emilio Aragón: “Our Business Mission is Based on Values and Ethics”
*”I started in the world of ice hockey because my brothers skated, and my parents supported the sport, even though they didn’t know much about hockey. Despite that, I managed to reach a very good level in Mexico. However, during a tour, I broke two ribs, and they decided I could no longer continue playing. No problem, I knew I would find another adventure.”*
*”With a cousin, we decided to buy a kart, thinking, ‘What could go wrong?’ Well, 35 years later, I’m still in motorsport. I’ve been fortunate enough to race for several brands here in Houston. For me, racing is more than a sport; it’s my therapy. I’d rather go to the racetrack than to a psychologist.”*
Emilio Aragón, a dynamic and charismatic young man, has risen to the presidency of the Mexican Entrepreneurs Association in The Woodlands. He represents not only the Mexican community but also embodies the values of perseverance, ethics, and family that make this city such a special place.
In honor of The Woodlands’ 50th anniversary, Emilio reflects on what this half-century of history means. To him, The Woodlands is an exceptionally well-planned community where the vision of its founder, George P. Mitchell, has always prioritized family well-being. “It’s no surprise that The Woodlands has repeatedly been recognized as one of the best places to raise a family in the United States,” he asserts.
Emilio also highlights the pride he feels in representing Mexican entrepreneurs in a community where values and ethics are fundamental. Under his leadership, the association not only promotes economic exchange between Mexico and the United States but also cares for the well-being of its members, offering guidance and support on various matters, from navigating the U.S. healthcare system to preparing for hurricanes.
Beyond his professional role, Emilio is a deeply grateful person. He firmly believes in the value of time and the importance of trust in human relationships. His passion for motorsport, which began after recovering from an injury in his youth, is a way of life for him—a therapy that allows him to find balance and focus.
Emilio reminds us that, in a world where speed and immediacy seem to reign, it is essential to maintain a balance between technology and human values. His life philosophy is rooted in respect, ethics, and trust—principles he considers essential for success, both in business and in personal life.
For *WoodlandStories Magazine*, it is an honor to feature leaders like Emilio, who stand out not only for their achievements but also for their integrity and commitment to the community.
