Dolly’s artistic foundation was shaped by her work with renowned Colombian Master of Visual Arts such as Luis Caballero, Fernando Botero, and Alejandro Obregón, which allowed her to discover the profound beauty of art. Once in Houston, she broadened her impact, incorporating not only visual arts but also theater, music, dance, and literature. Dolly is widely recognized for her tireless efforts to promote and preserve Latin American cultural roots.

One of her greatest accomplishments has been the creation of the 2024 Latin American Cultural Gathering, which brought together nearly 300 people and 14 ethnic groups, showcasing the cultural richness and ancestral beauty of Latin America. While the turnout was meaningful, she believes there’s still a need to foster greater interest in culture within the Hispanic community.

Today, Dolly leads an innovative project called “Engranaje Cultural”, a powerful initiative focused on educating children, youth, adults, and seniors about their cultural roots through workshops in literature, painting, theater, and music. These workshops aim to bridge new generations with their cultural ancestry, ensuring these valuable traditions are not lost.

Dolly also invites the community to reflect on the importance of art and culture as essential nourishment for the soul, noting that during these cultural workshops, young people fully disconnect from their phones and immerse themselves in enriching experiences.

This is a call to all residents in the Houston and The Woodlands area to join these cultural initiatives, emphasizing the importance of keeping our traditions and heritage alive through the arts in all its forms.
